Furniture Care
Simple Care, Lasting Beauty
Caring for your solid wood furniture is simple, and with the right care, it can stay beautiful for many years. At Naked Furniture, our pieces are crafted from real wood, and proper care helps protect the natural beauty, finish, and durability of your furniture.
First Month Care
During the first month, your furniture finish continues to cure and harden. Please follow these tips carefully:
- Keep indoor humidity between 40% and 45%, especially during winter. Use a humidifier if needed.
- Avoid placing hot, cold, or wet items directly on the furniture.
- Do not use solvents, harsh cleaners, wax, silicone-based polish, or products such as Pledge.
- A lightly damp cloth or a recommended wood furniture polish may be used when needed.
- Open doors and drawers for about 1 hour daily during the first month to help the inside finish cure properly.

Daily Care Tips
To maintain your Naked Furniture piece:- Avoid direct sunlight, as it may cause fading or color changes over time.
- Use blinds, curtains, or drapes during strong daylight hours.
- Always use coasters, placemats, trivets, or padding under hot, cold, rough, or heavy items.
- Dust regularly with a soft cloth, following the natural grain of the wood.
- For cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth, then dry immediately with a soft clean cloth.
- Do not drag dishes, décor, or other objects across the lacquered surface.
- Avoid excessive water or moisture on the furniture.
Table Leaf Care
If your table includes extension leaves, store them in an area with similar temperature and humidity to the table. Avoid damp basements, garages, or very dry areas, as changes in humidity may cause the wood to expand, shrink, or slightly change shape.
With simple care and attention, your solid wood furniture will continue to bring warmth, beauty, and function to your home for years to come.
